Locums About the Facility This mid-size hospital operates an outpatient cancer center providing specialized hematology and oncology services with established protocols for comprehensive cancer and blood disorder treatment delivery. The facility maintains coordinated care across clinical and support teams designed to promote quality patient outcomes. Hospital privileges are required for this position, with a credentialing timeframe of 60 days. About the Facility Location Goshen, Indiana, offers a variety of local attractions including DeFries Gardens, Goshen Brewing Co., Goertzen Pottery, and the Goshen Historical Museum, alongside dining and boutique shopping in the downtown area. The Blue Gate Theatre is approximately 15 miles away, and the University of Notre Dame is approximately 22 miles away, providing additional cultural and educational destinations within the region. About the Clinician's Workday The hematologist/oncologist will provide comprehensive outpatient hematology and oncology care Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, managing 10-12 patients per day at an outpatient cancer center. Clinical responsibilities include conducting patient evaluations and developing individualized treatment plans for general hematologic and oncologic conditions. Call coverage follows a 1:3 or 1:4 rotation, with the clinician taking weekday call and rounding on assigned patients, and covering weekend call every third or fourth week. Hospital privileges are required, with a credentialing timeframe of 60 days; board certification in Medical Oncology and completion of an oncology fellowship are mandatory requirements, along with an active Indiana state license or IMLC.
