Job Description

Primary Care Physician (MD/DO) At Wabash Valley Health Center, we believe healthcare is more than diagnosing and treating illness—it's about caring for people, building trust, and strengthening our community. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physician who is committed to serving the underserved and making a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients. As a physician at WVHC, you will do more than provide medical care—you will be a trusted partner in your patients' health journeys. You'll deliver comprehensive primary care, support preventive health efforts, and help create a welcoming, patient-centered environment where individuals feel heard and valued. Your clinical expertise, empathy, and leadership will have a direct and lasting impact on the health and well-being of our community. Provide compassionate, patient-centered care including diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing management of acute and chronic conditions Conduct physical exams and coordinate necessary diagnostic testing Educate patients on preventive care, treatment plans, and healthier lifestyles Serve as a primary care physician and advocate, building meaningful, trusting relationships with patients Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver coordinated, high-quality care Support Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) initiatives focused on improving outcomes and access Mentor and support clinical staff and medical students Participate in on-call coverage in collaboration with partner physicians Uphold WVHC's commitment to quality, safety, and equity in care Be part of a mission-driven organization dedicated to serving underserved populations Make a real difference in patients' lives every single day Work with a supportive, collaborative care team that values respect and compassion Help build stronger, healthier communities through accessible care Grow professionally in an environment that prioritizes purpose and connection We're looking for someone who is not only clinically skilled, but who truly cares—someone who understands that listening, empathy, and trust are just as important as diagnosis and treatment.
