Job Description

Position Description Amberwell Health is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Orthopedic Surgeon with Fellowship Training in Sports Medicine to join our orthopedic and sports medicine team. This full-time position includes a combination of outpatient clinic and surgical responsibilities with a focus on sports-related musculoskeletal conditions. The physician will support sports medicine care for local high schools and colleges and participate in a shared, remote orthopedic call rotation. This position is well-suited for both experienced surgeons and new graduates seeking a collaborative practice environment in a rural Kansas community. Responsibilities Provide comprehensive orthopedic and sports medicine care in the outpatient clinic setting Perform orthopedic surgical procedures consistent with training and clinical privileges Evaluate and manage acute and chronic musculoskeletal and sports-related injuries Participate in orthopedic coverage for local high school and collegiate athletic programs, as assigned Collaborate with athletic trainers, physical therapists, primary care providers, and specialty teams Participate in a shared, remote orthopedic call rotation Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation Comply with Amberwell Health policies, medical staff bylaws, and quality standards Participate in quality improvement and medical staff activities as required Qualifications MD or DO Completion of an Orthopedic Surgery residency Fellowship training in Sports Medicine Board Certified or Board Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery Eligible for medical licensure in the State of Kansas New graduates encouraged to apply Strong clinical, communication, and teamwork skills
