Job Description

We're looking for a Board‑Certified or Board‑Eligible Emergency Medicine physician (or a Family/Primary Care physician with solid emergency department experience) to join a collaborative, physician‑led emergency department in Pittsburg, KS. You'll practice high‑quality emergency medicine in a supportive, close‑knit environment that values teamwork and work-life balance. Practice highlights 16‑bed ED with roughly 19,000 visits per year, offering a broad and varied case mix. Team‑based model: currently staffed by six physicians and two advanced practice providers who back one another up for shift coverage. Strong multidisciplinary support including specialists, imaging, and ancillary services. Regular monthly meetings (remote and in‑person) to keep communication open and engagement high. Schedule and work‑life balance Flexible scheduling with two shift blocks: 6:00 AM-6:00 PM and 6:00 PM-6:00 AM. Full‑time expectation is 120 hours per month. Emphasis on sustainable workloads and physician well‑being in a collegial atmosphere. Compensation and benefits Competitive pay at $250 per hour, plus a comprehensive benefits package. ‑certified or board‑eligible in Emergency Medicine, or a Family/Internal Medicine physician with ED experience. Eligible for or able to obtain unrestricted medical licensure in Kansas. Strong clinical judgment, commitment to patient‑centered emergency care, and a team‑oriented approach with excellent communication skills.
