Locums About the Facility This 359-bed, not-for-profit acute care facility provides specialized hematology and oncology services across inpatient and clinic settings. The hospital serves a broad four-state region encompassing Western Kentucky, southern Illinois, southeast Missouri, and northwest Tennessee. Established clinical protocols and coordinated support systems are in place to facilitate quality patient care delivery across the facility's service lines. About the Facility Location Kentucky offers visiting clinicians access to a range of regional attractions and outdoor recreation opportunities throughout the state. The area provides diverse natural landscapes, cultural venues, and community amenities suited to varied interests. Clinicians on assignment may explore local dining, state parks, and year-round activities during their time in the region. About the Clinician's Workday The hematologist/oncologist will provide inpatient and clinic hematology and oncology coverage during day shifts with call responsibilities required. The clinical case mix is approximately 70% oncology and 30% hematology, with distribution of 95% clinic and 5% hospital, serving an exclusively adult patient population. Clinicians will manage an average of 2-3 new consults and must maintain thorough documentation through the facility's electronic medical record system for all patient encounters and treatment planning activities. Board certification in Medical Oncology is required for this assignment.
