Job Description
Locums Emergency Medicine Physician in Lake Charles, Louisiana - Flexible Scheduling, No Call This PRN emergency medicine opportunity offers up to five shifts per month with a focus on night and swing coverage. Work in the region's only Level 3 trauma center while maintaining flexibility around your existing schedule. Practice & Cases Emergency department caring for patients of all ages Level 3 trauma center with dedicated behavioral health support Full scope emergency procedures including airways, central lines, and chest tubes Approximately 140 patient visits per 24-hour period Schedule PRN coverage with flexible monthly scheduling Up to 5 shifts per month available 12-hour weekday shifts and 10-hour weekend shifts Night and swing shifts are the primary coverage need Requirements Must be an MD or DO ABEM Board Certified in Emergency Medicine Louisiana license or active Interstate Medical Licensure Compact Letter of Qualification required ACLS, BLS, and DEA required Logistics Airfare, lodging, rental car, and mileage covered Consecutive shifts available for easier travel planning We'd be happy to discuss upcoming night and swing shift openings and how the PRN schedule can fit your availability.
