Physician Willis-Knighton Health System - 3.7 Shreveport, LA Job Details Full-time 7 hours ago Benefits Retirement plan Qualifications BC/BE Internal Medicine DEA License Internal medicine Full Job Description Willis Knighton Health is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Internal Medicine Hospitalist to join our dedicated inpatient team at Willis Knighton North in Shreveport, LA. This role delivers comprehensive, high-quality care to patients within a collaborative, physician-led environment.
Schedule and Coverage Rotation:
7 days on, 7 days off.
Team Structure:
Physician rotation model.
Shifts:
In-house floor management and admissions Compensation Structure Competitive Shift + wRVU compensation on both day and night shifts. Quality Incentive Compensation Competitive Benefits and Retirement plans
Clinical Facilities Unit Size:
300-bed dedicated inpatient unit.
Environment:
Modern community health system with robust subspecialty support. Key Responsibilities Manage inpatient admissions, daily rounds, and discharges. Provide expert consultations for emergency department cases. Coordinate care plans with primary care physicians and specialists. Stabilize and prepare patients requiring transfer to intensive care. Lead resuscitation or rapid response protocols if activated. Qualifications Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution. Successful completion of an accredited Internal Medicine residency program. Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Internal Medicine. Eligibility for an unrestricted Louisiana medical license. Active Federal DEA registration.
