Job Description
Signature Healthcare is seeking a qualified Orthopedic Surgeon with fellowship training in Sports Medicine Surgery to join the Department of Orthopedics within our integrated community healthcare system in Southeastern Massachusetts. Signature Healthcare is a multi-specialty, not-for-profit healthcare organization comprised of Brockton Hospital and Signature Medical Group, with more than 150 physicians practicing across 18 ambulatory locations. Our practice location offers the ideal balance of community-based care and access to major metropolitan resources, situated within an hour of Boston, Providence, and Cape Cod. Position Highlights Fellowship-trained Orthopedic Sports Medicine Surgeon Strong, established sports medicine program with opportunities to treat athletes of all ages and activity levels Collaborative partnership with the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC) for complex case consultation and coordinated patient care Support from a fellowship-trained non-operative Sports Medicine physician with an active concussion evaluation and treatment program Integrated community outreach through Signature Healthcare-employed Athletic Trainers serving local high schools and colleges Orthopedic trauma call rotation of 1:5 Qualifications Candidates must possess: Completion of an accredited Orthopedic Surgery residency Fellowship training in Sports Medicine Board eligibility or certification through the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery (ABOS/AAOS eligible) Demonstrated experience and commitment to sports injury evaluation, treatment, and surgical management Compensation & Benefits Signature Healthcare offers a comprehensive benefits package, including: Competitive salary Productivity-based incentive compensation through Associated Physicians of Harvard Medical Faculty Physicians at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (AP-HMFP) Health, dental, and retirement benefits Generous paid time off CME support and professional development opportunities Collaborative physician leadership and administrative support About the Community Located just 25 miles south of Boston, Brockton and the surrounding South Shore region offer the quintessential New England lifestyle.
