Job Title:
Hospitalist Physician Location:
Fall River, MA Position Overview:
A well-established multispecialty physician group is seeking a full-time Hospitalist Physician to join its collaborative inpatient medicine team. The position requires state medical licensure and credentialing at affiliated community hospitals.
Practice Setting:
The Hospitalist team provides inpatient care at two community-based hospitals. ICU admissions are infrequent, and no invasive procedures, intubations, or ICU management responsibilities are required. Complex and tertiary-care cases are referred to regional academic medical centers as needed. Hospitalists benefit from strong specialist support, experienced case management teams, and dedicated ancillary staff to assist with patient care and discharge planning.
Schedule:
7 days on / 7 days off block schedule Assignments rotate between affiliated hospital locations
Day Shift:
7:00 AM - 7:00
PM Swing/Admitting Shift:
1:00 PM - 10:00 PM No required overnight shifts Additional shifts may be available for physicians seeking extra income. Candidates must be willing to work either the day or swing shift schedule.
Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive inpatient medical care. Admit, evaluate, and manage hospitalized patients. Coordinate care with consulting specialists and multidisciplinary teams. Ensure efficient, high-quality patient care and transitions of care. Contribute to patient satisfaction initiatives and team-based care delivery. Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation. Qualifications MD or DO degree from an accredited institution. Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine. Eligible for state medical licensure and hospital credentialing. Strong communication, teamwork, and patient-centered care skills.
Technology & Support:
Electronic Health Record (EHR) system with voice-recognition capabilities. Mobile charge-capture and billing platform. Secure HIPAA-compliant clinical communication tools. Comprehensive specialist and administrative support.
