Physician owned group in the Southcoast region of Massachusetts has an immediate opening for a Board-eligible or Board-certified Adult Neurologist to join an established Neurology Division. Our group is a 150-provider multispecialty group with its own Sleep Lab, Radiology Division, Laboratory, Outpatient Endovascular Suite, and Urgent Care Centers. Our Neurology Division currently consists of 4 physicians and one Nurse Practitioner seeing inpatients at 2 hospitals and covering a thriving outpatient practice. We see inpatient consultations at two local hospitals on a rotating coverage schedule. On-site CT and MRI are available as is an IAC-accredited Vascular Laboratory for carotid duplex imaging. Ancillary neurologic services include EEG, EMG, and nerve conduction studies, so training and experience in these modalities would qualify the successful candidate to perform these as part of his/her practice. Any additional areas of interest or expertise in the field of Neurology would be welcomed and supported by the group. TPA administration is handled by a separate on-call hospital-based Stroke Team. Neurosurgeons and vascular surgeons are readily-available locally, and a referral network exists for interventional neuroangiography, interventions, and complex cases requiring tertiary, academic-center care. This is an excellent medical community and our group manages approximately 60-70% of the patients in this area, providing an excellent source of referrals for specialists. The salary is competitive and is guaranteed for 2 years. The group is physician-owned, so physicians are eligible for corporate bonuses after 1 year and eligible for partnership after 2-3 years with minimal buy-in. Moving expenses , malpractice and professional expenses, health insurance, vacation, CME expenses, and a 401K are included. Our group is in a healthy growth phase and is a solid and strong influence in this medical community. Salary will be commensurate with the candidates training, expertise, and skill set. We are located 20 minutes from Providence, RI, an hour from Boston, and a half-hour from Cape Cod and Newport, RI.
