The role primarily involves newborn care with low daily patient volume, supporting coverage after a provider retirement. This is a recurring weekend position requiring onsite presence and comfort with neonatal procedures. Dates /

AM Credentialing Timeframe:
Approximately 3 months Job Details / Responsibilities Provide inpatient pediatric care in the nursery (Mother Baby Unit) Manage newborns (>2000 grams) and handle low patient volumes 0.33 admissions/day 1 inpatient/day Respond to newborn resuscitations when needed (e.g., post-delivery emergencies) Perform key procedures: Non-invasive ventilation (CPAP/BiPAP) Intubation Newborn resuscitation Work alongside an adult medicine hospitalist (no pediatric hospitalist team) No supervisory responsibilities Document care using Meditech EMR Required Skills & Qualifications Board Certified in Pediatrics or Family Medicine (required) NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification (required) Active Massachusetts (MA) medical license (preferred) Experience with neonatal care and critical procedures (intubation, ventilation, resuscitation) Ability to work independently in a low-volume, critical access hospital setting
