Job Description

The Non-Interventional Cardiologist provides comprehensive, patient-centered cardiovascular care across HealthyU Clinics, focusing on preventive cardiology, diagnostic evaluation, and medical management of acute and chronic cardiovascular conditions. This role emphasizes evidence-based practice, high-quality outcomes, and collaborative care delivery in alignment with HealthyU's mission and value-based care model. The Non-Interventional Cardiologist works closely with primary care providers, specialty teams, and clinical leadership to ensure coordinated, accessible, and compliant cardiovascular services.
Key responsibilities include:
Provide comprehensive non-interventional cardiology care, including preventive cardiology, risk stratification, diagnostic evaluation, and longitudinal management of cardiovascular conditions. Evaluate and manage patients with hypertension, hyperlipidemia, coronary artery disease, heart failure, arrhythmias (non-invasive), valvular disease, and other cardiovascular disorders. Interpret and oversee non-invasive diagnostic studies, including ECGs, echocardiograms, ambulatory monitoring, and stress testing, as applicable. Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based treatment plans aligned with current clinical guidelines. Provide timely consultation and follow-up care, ensuring continuity and coordination across care settings. Collaborate closely with primary care providers, care coordinators, and specialty teams to support integrated, team-based care. Coordinate referrals to interventional cardiology or other specialties when clinically indicated. Communicate clearly and effectively with patients, families, and care teams regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and expectations. Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation in the electronic medical record. Adhere to all clinical protocols, quality standards, and regulatory requirements. Participate in quality improvement initiatives, peer review activities, and clinical audits as required. Support population health initiatives and value-based care objectives, including preventive screenings and chronic disease management. Professional Practice & Engagement Uphold HealthyU's standards of professionalism, ethics, and patient-centered care. Participate in clinical meetings, trainings, and continuing medical education activities. Contribute to a collaborative and respectful clinical culture. Support organizational initiatives focused on provider engagement, quality improvement, and patient experience. All other duties as assigned. Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution. Board certification or board eligibility in Cardiology. Active and unrestricted medical license in applicable state(s). Completion of an accredited cardiology fellowship. Demonstrated expertise in non-interventional cardiology and cardiovascular disease management. Strong clinical judgment and diagnostic skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary care team. Commitment to quality, compliance, and patient-centered care.
