FullTime Department of Health and Human Services National Institutes of Health National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases Postdoctoral Fellow Laboratory of Clinical Immunology and Microbiology Immunopathogenesis Section The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), one of the largest institutes in the National Institutes of Health (NIH), and part of the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), conducts and supports basic and applied research to better understand, treat, and ultimately prevent infectious, immunologic, and allergic diseases. The Division of Intramural Research is seeking applicants for a postdoctoral position in the Immunopathogenesis Section of the Laboratory of Clinical Immunology and Microbiology in the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), National Institutes of Health (NIH). The successful applicant will be part of a team focused on pathogenesis of mycobacteria and host-bacterial interactions. The program emphasizes basic research that may be translated into the clinic and the diagnostic laboratory. For more information about our research, please visit the LCIM web site . Qualifications Highly motivated candidates with a Ph.D. in microbiology or immunology, particularly in host-pathogen interactions. Experience in genomics and/or proteomics/metabolomics is desirable Trainees will receive health insurance as well as a stipend commensurate with experience. Appointees may be a US citizen, Legal Permanent Resident or non-US citizen (visa requirements ).
