Opportunity:
Join a dedicated and mission-driven healthcare team in Machias, Maine, providing high-quality emergency medical care to patients in a rural community setting. We are seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Emergency Medicine Physician who upholds the highest ethical and professional standards in clinical practice. This opportunity offers flexible scheduling, on-campus housing, and the option to work as a W2 employee or independent contractor.
Responsibilities:
Provide emergency medical care to patients of all ages in the Emergency Department Remain immediately available to respond to all emergent cases while on duty Deliver high-quality, evidence-based care consistent with ACEP guidelines and hospital protocols Maintain current certifications including BLS, ACLS, and ATLS Ensure accurate and timely documentation, coding, and compliance with federal and state regulations, including EMTALA Exhibit professionalism in all interactions with patients, families, and colleagues Participate as an active member of the medical staff and engage in departmental initiatives Maintain ongoing continuing medical education and skill development
Schedule:
Four to five 24-hour shifts per month On-campus housing provided for convenience and accessibility
Qualifications:
