The leadership is affected through the supervision and direction of the team's professional assessments, diagnosis, treatment planning, treatment, discharge planning, performance improvement and clinical programming activities. The Staff Psychiatrist provides consultation to other psychiatrists on difficult-to-manage patients. This position serves as a member of and carries out the activities of assigned Hospital and Departmental committees. In order to provide continuity of high quality care, the Staff Psychiatrist also share on-call responsibilities. This position requires rotation of an on-call and weekend assignment on a monthly basis. Experience Completion of a psychiatric residency program and one year of experience as a psychiatrist in a mental health, clinic, program, or correctional facility.

Required:

Possession of a DEA Controlled Substance license. Michigan licensure to practice medicine or osteopathic medicine and surgery. Possession of a Michigan controlled substance license.
