Job Description

Category Imaging - IR Tech Job Type Contract Step into a pivotal role assisting radiologists in the performance of invasive imaging procedures designed to evaluate and diagnose complex medical conditions. If you are an experienced Imaging professional with a strong background in Interventional Radiology (IR), this contract opportunity offers a dynamic environment focused on providing the highest standard of patient care.
Schedule:
8:00 am - 4:30 pm On-call rotation: One weekend every six weeks Monday-Friday evening call every six weeks (subject to department volume and scheduling needs)
Required Qualifications:
Active BLS certification Current ARRT certification (Vascular-Interventional Radiography (VI) preferred) Demonstrated experience as an IR Tech in a clinical setting Proficiency with PACS and RIS systems Ability to independently set up, operate, and troubleshoot imaging equipment Strong communication skills and commitment to patient-centered care
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and explain diagnostic procedures to patients, ensuring comfort and understanding Gather and review patient medical histories as needed Safely prepare and administer contrast media, medications, and IV solutions Support Radiologists in conducting complex invasive imaging procedures by setting up sterile equipment and monitoring patient condition throughout Maintain adequate inventory of supplies and ensure all equipment is appropriately prepared and sterilized Employ ALARA techniques and radiation safety protocols during all procedures Complete timely and accurate documentation in medical records and imaging systems to support clinical and administrative needs Provide mentorship to new team members or students as assigned Continuously uphold team and facility standards of excellence and patient safety If you are looking to leverage your expertise in interventional imaging within a collaborative team, submit your application today for immediate consideration.
