Job Description

Job DescriptionMunson Healthcare's Women's Health Service Line is seeking to add casual OB/GYN physicians to provide call coverage at the following
Munson Hospitals:
Gaylord, Grayling, Charlevoix and Cadillac, Michigan. This unique opportunity offers flexibility for those looking for per diem or ancillary work. The physician who provides OB/GYN hospital call coverage will be reimbursed for food, travel, and all lodging expenses.

Position highlights and responsibilities include:
Minimum of 3, 24-hour call shifts per monthMileage reimbursementLodging and food reimbursementCredentialed at all sitesOpportunity to work with a collaborative team of physicians and Certified Nurse MidwivesDutiesTriage or OB ED servicesIP rounding on assigned and unassigned OB and GYN patientsGYN consultations for hospitalized patients and the main EDSurgically assist for other OBs or gynecologistsCoverage will generally be unrestricted depending on the hospital set-up and availability of call rooms.

Certification, Licensure, RegistrationBoard eligible/certified for OB/GYN practice in the State of Michigan
NRP, BLS, EFM
certifiedOther QualificationsCandidate must apply for and be granted applicable clinical privileges through MHC's credentialing processes before rendering services.

Good judgment and problem-solving skills.

Excellent written and verbal communications skills.

Ability to make quality, independent medical decisions.

Time management and organizational skills.

Munson Healthcare requires all employees be vaccinated or have lab confirmed immunity for Measles, Mumps, Rubella and Varicella.
