University of Michigan Health-West (Formally Metro Health) is looking for Surgical Oncologist
Physician candidate will be performing full spectrum of both hematology and oncology patient care, including but not limited of new patient referrals, established patients actively in treatment and follow up care. Ability to work closely with a partnering team of specialists encompassing 37+ specialty care and hospital-based service lines Play a key role in providing exceptional care to patients with hematologic malignancies, including leukemia, lymphoma, and myeloma Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including oncologists, surgeons, radiologists, and advanced practice providers to develop individualized treatment plans. Conduct and participate in clinical research, contributing to the advancement of malignant hematology. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging therapies and clinical trial opportunities for patients. Educate and mentor medical students, residents Develop strong relationships with patients and their families, providing emotional support and guidance throughout their treatment journey. Participate in tumor board meetings and provide expert consultation to other healthcare providers.
