Job Description

Are you an Emergency Medicine physician searching for your next locum tenens opportunity? This position with one of VISTA's healthcare partners in Michiganmight be the perfect fit for you!
Opportunity Highlights Schedule:
24-hour shifts, 8:00am-8:00am, in-house. Immediate need is 6/30 (8a-4p) orientation, followed by 7/1(8a)-7/4(8a).
Additional need:
7/21-25 and 8/24-30. Ongoing opportunities are available.
Job Setting:
Critical Access Hospital with 18 Acute Inpatient beds, average daily census of 6. Chest Pain accredited, Joint Commission Accredited, working toward Trauma Level 4 designation. Trauma II hospital that is 15 minutes away and offers additional services.
Types of Cases:
Approximately 25 patients per shift (Annual visits approximately 8,000).
Admission rate:
3.4%.
Transfer rate:
3.8%. Newborn deliveries received in the ED. 24-hour availability: Anesthesia, Laboratory, OR Response Time, Radiology. Fully-staffed Obstetrics Unit with NICU available at UPHS-Marquette.
Credentialing:
Estimated 60 days
Minimum Requirements Certifications:
ACLS, BLS, PALS
