Seeking Locum Plastic Surgeon for a Reputable Healthcare System Are you a skilled Plastic Surgeon looking for a locum opportunity that offers a dynamic and supportive environment? Opportunity Highlights Engage in a locum tenens role with a focus on plastic surgery. Provide critical 24-hour call coverage approximately 7 days per month. Contribute your expertise in a Level 2 trauma center. Work in a practice setting that includes one other Plastic Surgeon and a dedicated support team. Comprehensive travel, hotel, and rental car reimbursement provided. Practice Setting and Clinical Scope This opportunity is nestled in a hospital-based setting, offering exposure to a diverse range of cases, including trauma, adult, and pediatric plastic surgery. The facility is well-equipped to handle facial laceration repairs, scar revisions, skin grafts, flaps, and other general plastic surgery procedures. You will work alongside a team comprising two medical assistants and front desk support to ensure seamless operations. While there is no inpatient PA/NP coverage, the presence of general surgery residents and outpatient clinic support from NP/PAs four days a week ensures a holistic approach to patient care. Schedule and Assignment Details This locum position emphasizes flexibility and work-life balance, with a call schedule of approximately 7 days per month. The need is ongoing, offering stability and the opportunity to integrate into the healthcare system smoothly. The credentialing process is estimated to take 90-120 days, with a start date aimed for September/October 2026. Qualifications Board Certified in Plastic Surgery. Completed fellowship in Plastic Surgery. ACLS certification required. Active Michigan medical license or eligibility to obtain one. Recent NPDB Self Query Report (within 30 days active).
