Full-Time Job Summary We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Nurse Practitioner (NP) to provide comprehensive care across our residential inpatient units, outpatient clinics, and primary care services. This role focuses on a holistic health approach treating clients with substance use disorders alongside managing acute and chronic medical and mental health conditions. The NP will play a key role in improving client outcomes through integrated, patient-centered care. Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive evaluations, including physical exams, mental health assessments, and substance use histories Provide and manage Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT), including prescribing and monitoring medications such as buprenorphine and naltrexone Develop individualized treatment plans for patients in residential and outpatient settings Manage chronic conditions (e.g., diabetes, hypertension) and acute illnesses Collaborate with behavioral health providers, counselors, and case managers Monitor patient progress, adjust treatment plans, and provide relapse prevention support Educate patients and families on treatment options, recovery, and overall wellness Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations related to MAT and controlled substances Maintain accurate, timely documentation in electronic health records (EHR) Qualifications Master's or Doctorate degree in Nursing from an accredited program Active Nurse Practitioner license in Michigan DEA license with authorization to prescribe controlled substances Strong understanding of substance use disorders and evidence-based treatment approaches Excellent interpersonal, communication, and clinical decision-making skills Certification as a psychiatric nurse practitioner is helpful. Preferred Qualifications 1-3+ years of experience in addiction medicine, behavioral health, and primary care Experience working in residential treatment or recovery programs Knowledge of trauma-informed care and harm reduction principles Familiarity with integrated care models and interdisciplinary teamwork Benefits Wage dependent on licensure Competitive salary Health, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off and holidays How to Apply Please submit your resume and cover letter to hr@glrc.org
