Job Description

A leading cardiovascular program in Petoskey, Michigan seeks a Locums electrophysiology cardiology physician to provide ongoing clinic and EP lab coverage. Predictable weekday schedule with no nights, weekends, or call.
Schedule & Logistics Coverage:
~3 weeks per month
Days:
Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00
PM Setting:
Outpatient clinic and electrophysiology lab Onsite daily coverage for clinic and EP lab
EMR:
Cerner No weekend, night, or on-call duties Clinical Responsibilities Provide EP consultations and follow-up care Evaluate and manage patients with cardiac rhythm disorders Perform EP procedures (EP studies, ablations) and interpret electrophysiology testing Manage ambulatory monitoring interpretation and ECGs Manage cardiac implantable electronic devices (pacemakers, ICDs) Collaborate with cardiologists, APPs, nursing, and cath lab staff Maintain accurate, timely documentation in Cerner Deliver patient-centered cardiovascular care Volume ~20 outpatient clinic patients per day Two dedicated EP lab days per week Required Qualifications MD or DO Board Certified in Cardiovascular Disease Board Certified or Board Eligible in Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology preferred Active Michigan medical license Active DEA registration
COVID-19
vaccination required Experience & Skills Independent EP procedural experience required Strong knowledge of arrhythmia management and device therapies Comfortable with outpatient and procedural patient populations
