Job Description

Locum - Physician - Neonatology Southfield, MI Join a premier healthcare organization as a Locum Physician specializing in Neonatology at our Level 3 NICU in Southfield, Michigan. This critical role offers the opportunity to provide expert neonatal care in a dynamic, hospital-based environment during an urgent staffing need caused by a recent resignation. With flexible scheduling and an excellent compensation package, this position is ideal for board-certified neonatologists seeking impactful work and professional growth. The position involves in-house coverage from 7 pm to 7 am, including in-house call responsibilities, primarily caring for neonatal patients admitted to a busy 15-bed NICU. The role requires attending C-sections, transfer of neonates, and managing an average of 12 patients daily. The provider must be comfortable working with Cerner, Ecare, or PowerChart EMR systems and possess current state licensure.
Required Skills:
Board Certification or Board Eligible in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine Neonatology fellowship training Current
BLS, NRP
certifications Ability to attend C-sections and transfer neonates Experience managing critically ill neonates in a Level 3 NICU Excellent communication and clinical skills Strong commitment to patient safety and quality care Nice to
Have Skills:
Previous neonatology locum experience Familiarity with Cerner/Ecare/PowerChart EMR systems Experience with high-acuity neonatal care Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Education and Experience:
MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school Completed Neonatology fellowship Minimum of 2 years experience in a Level 3 NICU environment
Other Requirements:
