As a Staff Psychiatrist, you will work with pediatric patients in a structured inpatient setting, delivering high-quality psychiatric care and playing a key role in treatment planning, medication management, and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Caseload:

Approx. 1418 patients per shift

Facility Type:

Mental health hospital (bed/unit details TBD)Conduct initial psychiatric assessments and ongoing evaluationsManage and adjust psychiatric medications as clinically indicatedCollaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized treatment plansDocument all assessments, treatment plans, and progress in the EMR systemLead and participate in treatment planning and case review meetingsSupervise and support residents, students, and treatment team membersParticipate in discharge planning and, when required, provide court testimonyContribute to quality improvement and peer review initiativesMD or DO from an accredited institutionBoard Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry (Child & Adolescent specialization required)Minimum 1 year experience working with pediatric psychiatric patients in an inpatient, correctional, or clinic settingActive Michigan medical license, DEA license, and Michigan Controlled Substance LicenseStrong clinical, documentation, and communication skillsAbility to lead in a team-based care modelReady to make a meaningful difference in pediatric mental health care with the support and balance you deserve?
