Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Cardiac Anesthesiologist to join our dynamic medical team. In this vital role, you will provide expert anesthesia care specifically tailored to cardiac surgery patients, ensuring optimal safety and comfort throughout complex procedures. Your expertise will support a wide range of cardiac interventions, including open-heart surgeries, catheterizations, and vascular procedures. Duties Administer anesthesia during cardiac surgeries and interventions, including bypass procedures, valve repairs, and transcatheter procedures. Monitor patient vital signs continuously using advanced EHR (Electronic Health Record) systems and medical imaging tools to ensure stability throughout perioperative care. Collaborate closely with surgeons, cardiologists, perfusionists, and nursing staff to develop comprehensive anesthesia plans tailored to each patient's needs. Manage airway control and ventilation strategies effectively during complex procedures, utilizing expertise in airway management techniques. Oversee patient assessment pre- and post-operatively, including evaluating medical history, current condition, and risk factors related to cardiology and critical care. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and hospital protocols while maintaining meticulous medical records and documentation for all procedures performed. Participate in clinical research initiatives related to cardiac anesthesia advancements and contribute to quality improvement projects within the department. Qualifications Medical degree from an accredited institution with board certification or eligibility in anesthesiology. Extensive experience in cardiac anesthesia or perioperative care within a hospital setting; critical care experience is highly valued. Proficiency with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Epic or similar platforms for documentation and patient management. Strong knowledge of physiology related to cardiology, neurocritical care, respiratory therapy, and pharmacology relevant to anesthesia practice. Demonstrated expertise in advanced airway management techniques, catheterization procedures, and vascular interventional radiography. Familiarity with medical imaging modalities such as CT scans used for preoperative assessments. Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams dedicated to patient service excellence. $700,000.00 - $800,000.00 per year
