JOB DESCRIPTION TRIA
is looking to hire a Surgery Coordinator to join our orthopedic team! Come join us as a Partner for Good and help us make an impact on the care and experience that our patients and their families receive every day.Position Summary:
Provides administrative support to surgeons by scheduling patient surgeries and performing other administrative tasks that support our patients. Returns calls in a timely manner and ensures that each encounter provides an over-the-top experience. Independently completes tasks, but also works closely with their care team in the clinic setting. Secures necessary patient information relating to the scheduling and/or processing of surgical procedures. Schedules surgeries and performs required procedures including documentation. Complies with all applicable state and federal regulations. Coordinates information provided for business services functions including CPT-4 and ICD-9 coding.Work Schedule:
Full Time, Monday-Friday 8:30am-5pmMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education, Experience or Equivalent Combination:
2 or more years related experience in a health care environment.Licensure/ Registration/ Certification:
NA Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Medical terminology and CPT-4 coding knowledge required. The incumbent must be able to proficiently operate the following: Typewriter or Word Processor, CRT, Printer, Telephone, Photocopier, Fax Machine, and 10-key Calculator.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
