Job Description

Location:
Joplin, MO Joplin offers a vibrant community with a balance of small-town charm and urban amenities. Located in the southwest corner of Missouri, it provides convenient access to outdoor recreation, cultural attractions, and a reasonable cost of living with a strong sense of community.
Facility:
This is a Level 2 trauma center with a 48-bed critical care department equipped with modern technologies including EPIC electronic medical records system. The facility provides comprehensive critical care services to patients throughout the region and offers excellent support for medical professionals.
Opportunity:
Physician - Internal Medicine -
Critical Care Medicine Job Details:
  • Work approximately 12-14 shifts monthly (schedule may vary)
  • Manage approximately 24 patient encounters per shift in a 48-bed department
  • Must have active MO license, MO
BNDD & DEA
  • Board certification in pulmonology and critical care required
  • EPIC experience preferred
  • Perform ventilation management (invasive and non-invasive)
  • Conduct bronchoscopies with bronchial alveolar lavage (BAL)
  • Insert chest tubes, central lines, arterial lines, PA catheters, and dialysis catheters
  • Place and manage Intra-Aortic Balloon pumps (IABP)
  • Evaluate and manage acute volume/BP issues and ICP
  • Perform diagnostic/therapeutic procedures including lumbar puncture, paracentesis, and thoracentesis
  • ACLS and BLS certifications required
  • Estimated credentialing timeframe: 90 days
Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included. Paid Travel and Lodging.
