This contract position is an excellent opportunity for healthcare professionals looking to make a significant impact in the medical practice industry. The role requires an on-site presence, allowing for close collaboration with our medical staff and patients. As a Locum Pathologist, you will play a crucial role in diagnosing and managing various medical conditions through laboratory analysis and pathology services. Your expertise will contribute to improving patient outcomes and enhancing the overall quality of care Responsibilities Perform diagnostic examinations and interpret laboratory results Collaborate with healthcare teams to discuss patient cases Provide expert consultations regarding pathology findings Ensure compliance with medical regulations and standards Maintain accurate and detailed patient records Participate in continuous education and training initiatives Contribute to quality assurance and improvement programs Engage in research and development activities as needed Requirements MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school Board certification in Pathology or equivalent experience 1-3 years of clinical experience in pathology preferred Strong diagnostic skills and attention to detail Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems Commitment to continuous professional development
Schedule:
9-hour day shifts, 1 week per month
Daily Volume:
15-20 malignant workups and a few peripheral smear reviews
Case Types:
Hematology and surgical pathology preferred
Daily Team Structure:
8-10 pathologists onsite Must be board-certified Paid travel & expenses
