Job Description Merit Health Wesley is seeking a Nocturnist Hospitalist Physician to join our inpatient care team. This hospital-employed opportunity offers a structured 7-on/7-off schedule and the chance to practice in a high-acuity, team-based environment focused on delivering exceptional patient care during overnight hours. W-2 hospital-employed (1099 considered) Fast-paced inpatient hospital environment Responsibilities Provide comprehensive inpatient care during overnight shifts Manage admissions, inpatient rounding, and cross-coverage Perform procedures including: Central line placement Intubations Code response and resuscitation management Collaborate with daytime hospitalists, specialists, nursing staff, and ancillary teams Ensure accurate and timely EMR documentation Maintain high standards of patient safety and evidence-based care Qualifications Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine Current Mississippi medical license or eligibility for licensure Procedural competency in lines, intubations, and codes required Strong communication and teamwork skills Ability to function independently in an overnight hospital setting Compensation Package May Include Commencement bonus Relocation assistance CME allowance Medical education debt assistance If you're ready to take the next step in your career, we want to hear from you.
