This healthcare facility is part of a respected regional medical network providing comprehensive surgical services to the community. The facility features a 10-bed surgical department with a Level 4 trauma designation, ensuring quality patient care and professional development opportunities.
Opportunity:
Physician - Surgery -
General Job Details:
Provide comprehensive general surgery services with 10 patient encounters per shift Must be board certified or board certification eligible Perform adult general surgery procedures (pediatric and neonate not required) Conduct laparoscopic surgeries including required appendectomy and cholecystectomy Perform chest tube insertion and central line insertion as required procedures Handle trauma cases preferred at Level 4 trauma facility Preferred experience with laparoscopic hernioplasty and Nissen fundoplication Preferred skills in head/neck surgery including thyroid procedures Chest wall/pleural procedures and breast surgery experience preferred OB/GYN surgical experience preferred including D&C and hysterectomy Liver surgery and GI endoscopy experience preferred Upper and lower endoscopy skills including sigmoidoscopy and colonoscopy preferred Ventilation management and PA catheter placement experience preferred Vascular access device placement preferred Laser certification preferred Must maintain active Mississippi medical license ACLS and BLS certification required Credentialing timeframe approximately 14 days
Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
