Job Description

Join Our Team as a Hospitalist Physician - Make a Difference in Patient Care! Are you a dedicated and skilled Hospitalist Physician looking to play a vital role in patient care while enjoying a flexible schedule? Our respected healthcare organization is seeking a committed Hospitalist (Nocturnist) to provide exceptional inpatient care in a dynamic hospital setting. What You Will Do:
Provide high-quality nocturnal inpatient care to adult patients in a fast-paced hospital environment. Manage an average census of 15-18 patients with approximately 8 admissions during each 12-hour shift. Collaborate closely with support staff and utilize the
EPIC EMR
system to ensure accurate documentation. Uphold safety protocols, including vaccines, BLS, ACLS, and maintain current licenses and certifications. Enjoy a consistent 7-on/7-off schedule from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., with opportunities for PRN fill-in shifts as needed.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Board Certification in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine Active North Carolina medical license and DEA registration (must have in-hand to apply) BLS and ACLS certified Proficient in EMR documentation; EPIC experience preferred Strong clinical skills within the scope of hospital medicine Ability to thrive in a fast-paced inpatient environment and work independently during night shifts Nice to
Have Skills:
Prior hospitalist or nocturnist experience Familiarity with hospital workflows and interdisciplinary collaboration Additional certifications or training in critical care or hospital medicine
Preferred Education and Experience:
Graduate of an accredited medical school with completion of residency in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine Previous hospitalist experience preferred, but enthusiasm and capability are valued
