Not provided We're seeking a hospitalist to provide inpatient coverage in Tarboro, NC for a short-term locum tenens assignment from July 4-13, 2026. This is clinical-only work at a 117-bed hospital that sees about 26,000 ED visits annually. You'll work with a team of 3 day hospitalists and 1 night hospitalist; typical patient volume is about 12 daily and 46-50 total. Day admissions usually run 3-8 per shift; nights are 6-8. Shift details and schedule Coverage needed: supplemental inpatient coverage Shifts to fill: Nights (7p-7a): Jul 4-6, 12, 14, 20, 23, 30 Days (7a-7p): Jul 10-13 Shift pattern includes some nights and weekends Clinical expectations Respond to codes as needed ICU/Critical Care duties: optional on day shifts (8-bed ICU); required on night shifts No procedures required Specialty backup available: Orthopedics, Cardiology, Critical Care, Urology, OB/GYN, hospitalist programs Nursery level: III (intermediate care)
