This role is essential in managing administrative and billing functions, ensuring smooth clinic operations, and providing exceptional patient service. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with medical billing, EMR systems, and a solid understanding of healthcare documentation and coding protocols. Responsibilities Prepare, submit, and track insurance claims through electronic and paper systems Conduct timely follow-up on claim denials and ensure prompt resolution Communicate professionally with insurance companies, patients, and clinical staff Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with payer guidelines Support the business office with additional administrative tasks as needed Provide excellent patient service through phone etiquette, clerical support, and administrative assistance in a busy clinical environment. Requirements Proven experience in medical billing, payment posting and refunds within a clinical setting. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems including eClinicalWorks -- preferred. Knowledge of medical coding (CPT, ICD-9/10), insurance verification, Medicare policies, and HIPAA compliance. Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel), typing (10-key), and familiarity with health information management software. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation review and record-keeping. Ability to communicate effectively with patients, staff and insurance companies. Prior experience in medical billing or administrative support within a healthcare setting is required. Experience with co-pay assistance programs a plus.
