General Job Description/Summary This position provides services through Urology services through the SRMC Specialty Clinic. Is held accountable for following the policies and procedures of the department and organization. Additionally, the position serves as a role model for ethical behavior and promotes an awareness and understanding of positive ethical and moral principles consistent with the Mission, and Behavior Standards of SRMC. Employees are committed to being financial stewards of the organization by making ethical, efficient, and responsible financial decisions regarding organizational resources.Duties & Responsibilities:
Patient Care:
Diagnose and treat a wide range of urological conditions.Clinical Services:
Perform urological procedures and surgeries.Collaboration:
Work closely with other healthcare professionals. Place order for tests for healthcare staff to administer.Patient Education:
Educate patients on urological health, treatment options, and preventive care measures to promote long-term wellness.Record Keeping:
Review and interpret test results. Create and recommend treatment plans, maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records using electronic health records (EHR) software.Community Engagement:
Participate in community health initiatives and education, fostering relationships with local residents to enhance patient awareness and access to care.Continuing Education:
Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in urology, including new procedures, technologies, and treatment protocols.Rotational Call:
Required. Potential to provide APP oversight and respond timely to their needs. Requirements Education, Experience, & Licensure Board certified Urologist from an accredited medical school. Current, or must be able to obtain, M.D. licensure in the State of Nebraska. Certification in BLS and ACLS required; SRMC will help obtain. Current, or must be able to obtain, State and DEA Licenses.Work Environment & Essential Physical Requirements:
