Job Description

Join a state-of-the-art Freestanding Emergency Department in Derry, New Hampshire as a Locums Emergency Medicine Physician, delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in a modern facility integrated with a regional healthcare network. The ED combines advanced diagnostics, efficient patient flow, and direct access to inpatient services—ideal for clinicians who value community-based practice with comprehensive specialty and inpatient support. Facility highlights Annual volume ~10,000 visits in year one; 11 emergency treatment bays Fully equipped trauma bay and dedicated ambulance/EMS access Separate adult and pediatric waiting areas; all private treatment rooms On-site advanced imaging: CT, ultrasound, and digital radiology Modern design focused on patient experience and throughput Clinical responsibilities Evaluate, diagnose, and treat a wide range of emergency conditions, including acute illnesses, injuries, and trauma Perform emergency procedures and stabilize patients for admission or transfer Coordinate care with EMS, specialty consultants, and receiving facilities Maintain accurate, timely medical documentation and deliver evidence-based, patient-centered care Qualifications MD or DO required Emergency Medicine board certification strongly preferred; Family Medicine or Internal Medicine board-certified physicians with recent ED experience will be considered Active New Hampshire medical license preferred; DEA registration required Current ACLS, ATLS, and PALS certifications preferred This opportunity offers a collaborative, fast-paced environment with the resources to provide excellent emergency care.
