  • Cottage Hospital Cottage Hospital, located near New Hampshire's picturesque White Mountains, is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible General Surgeon to join our dedicated and collaborative team.
This is a unique opportunity offering a 1 week on / 1 week off schedule, providing more than 26 weeks off per year—an exceptional balance of professional fulfillment and personal time. You'll practice in a solo model shared with one other General Surgeon, allowing for both autonomy and partnership. During your on week, you'll manage a blend of clinic responsibilities, OR block time, and call coverage, giving you a well-rounded and engaging practice. Our environment is highly supportive, with a strong anesthesia team and collaborative Emergency Department physicians. Trauma demands are minimal, and most call-back occurs during daylight hours, contributing to a manageable and sustainable workflow. What You'll Do
  • Provide comprehensive general surgical care in both inpatient and outpatient settings
  • Perform a range of procedures, including endoscopy
  • Manage ICU patients as needed
  • Participate in a shared call rotation (1 week on / 1 week off)
  • Collaborate closely with anesthesia, ED providers, and hospital staff This is an ideal opportunity for a surgeon seeking clinical autonomy, a strong support system, and a lifestyle-friendly schedule—all within a beautiful New England setting.
