Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY
Wellness and Pain / Premier Health Group is seeking a full time position for a board-certified or board-eligible Physiatrist with proficiency in electrodiagnostic medicine (EMG/NCV) and outpatient pain management to join our growing multi-specialty practice. The ideal candidate will evaluate and treat patients with musculoskeletal, neuromuscular, and chronic pain conditions across our New Jersey and New York locations. This is a non-procedural role focused on EMG/NCS studies, comprehensive pain consultations, and conservative management.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Electrodiagnostic Services Perform and interpret EMG/NCV studies for peripheral neuropathy, radiculopathy Provide comprehensive electrodiagnostic reports and communicate findings to referring providers Collaborate with spine, orthopedic, pain management teams Pain Consultations & Conservative Management Conduct comprehensive pain consultations including history, physical exam, functional assessment, and individualized treatment plan development Manage musculoskeletal, spine conservatively with medication management, therapeutic modalities, and rehabilitation coordination Order and review diagnostic imaging (MRI, X-ray, nerve conduction studies); integrate findings into clinical decision-making Coordinate procedural referrals (injections, RFA, SIJ injections) to interventional pain colleagues when indicated Clinical & Operational Document all encounters and follow-ups in ECW Participate in care coordination with NPs, PAs, conservative providers and surgical specialists Support quality metrics, utilization review, and value-based care initiatives Serve as a resource to NPs and PAs on complex physiatry, spine, and electrodiagnostic cases Required qualifications MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school Completion of ACGME-accredited residency in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Board certification or active pursuit of certification through ABPMR (or equivalent) Active, unrestricted medical license in New Jersey and New York DEA registration and NPI Proficiency in EMG/NCS performance and interpretation Experience managing musculoskeletal and chronic pain conditions in an outpatient setting Preferred qualifications Fellowship training in Electrodiagnostic Medicine, Spine, or Pain Medicine ABEM or AANEM subspecialty credential in electrodiagnostic medicine Experience collaborating with interventional pain, orthopedic, or spine surgery teams Familiarity with eClinicalWorks or comparable EHR platform Experience in a multi-specialty or hi
