Job Description

Pulse Vascular is seeking a personable, organized, energetic individual with a clinical background. This full-time Physician Liaison position is an exciting opportunity to work, learn, and grow with an established outpatient facility. As a Physician Liaison, you will have the ability to use your clinical knowledge while working in a business environment. A successful Liaison will educate the medical community about the services provided by our provider(s) at our location and will develop and maintain positive relationships with medical professionals to expand our referral base. The day-to-day functions include outreach to our multiple referring providers providing education on our services, following up on procedure outcomes, assessing referring provider and patient satisfaction regarding the care provided at our center. The Physician Liaison will work closely with the Brand Engagement Director who will provide education and relevant tools necessary to perform the expected results for this position. The candidate must be professional, self-motivated, and detailed oriented. As with any workplace, this person must be attuned to the diverse needs of the workplace and adhere to the highest of ethical standards. Position has base pay, plus excellent incentive plan.
KEY FUNCTIONS
  • Develops long-term referral relationships while ensuring the highest level of customer service and satisfaction.
  • Maintains relationships with physicians, and key influencers to drive patient volume, enhance customer loyalty and exceed client satisfaction.
  • Drives center growth with the expansion of referral base
  • Provides presentations on the Center the available services to a variety of health care team members - physicians, nurse practitioners, office managers, and ancillary staff during meetings or lunches
  • Submits weekly status reports highlighting activity and results such as updates on new prospect meetings, follow up on leads, new patient referrals, creating and nurturing relationships
  • Effectively maintains an open line of communication with the center team regarding additions or changes in referring providers or referral trends
  • Updates appropriate documents to track daily efforts in the field
  • Maintains excel spreadsheet with referring provider information
  • Follows through on leads provided by department leadership, physician or other center personnel
  • Maintains relationships with industry experts to maximize lead generation
  • Attends internal/external meetings
  • Maintains updated professional and clinical knowledge
  • Builds a network with peers and customers that supports the strategic direction of the center
  • Monitors shifts in referral volumes; shares this information with the team and adjusts marketing strategies accordingly

  • Other duties assigned by management
SKILLS:
  • Excellent communication skills with attention to detail (written, verbal and electronic correspondence)
  • Strong organizational skills and effective time management skills with ability to function independently, multitask, and prioritize responsibilities
  • Strong interpersonal skills necessary to foster business relationships with the medical community and colleagues
  • Strong interest in education and outreach to healthcare teams
QUALIFICATIONS
:
  • 4-year bachelor's degree - healthcare related
  • Clinical experience required
  • Willingness to perform travel on a daily basis to cover the multi-county territory
  • Valid New Jersey driver's license and own reliable transportation required
  • Favorable background check

Schedule:
8 hour shift, Monday-Friday. No nights, weekends or holidays
Education:
Bachelor's (Preferred)
Experience:
Medical sales: 1 year preferred Willingness to travel: 75% (Required). This role will require travel across the northern New Jersey region on a daily basis
