Job Description

Primary Care / Sports Medicine Physician (MD or DO) Madison Medical Sports & Rehabilitation Center Madison, NJ Job Details Full-time $200,000 - $230,000 a year 20 hours ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance Tuition reimbursement Paid time off Vision insurance Retirement plan Qualifications Collaborate with healthcare professionals Primary care Nurse Practitioner (NP) Telehealth experience DEA License Medical License Internal medicine Patient interaction Full Job Description About Madison Medical Madison Medical is a physician-led, multidisciplinary practice delivering high-level, integrated healthcare across primary care, pain and spine, chiropractic, sports and performance medicine, regenerative therapies, allergy, podiatry, internal medicine, and wellness optimization. We are building a modern healthcare organization designed for the future — not the past. By uniting advanced diagnostics with collaborative specialty care, we provide precise, outcomes-driven treatment that addresses root causes, restores function, and supports long-term health. We operate at exceptionally high clinical and operational standards, prioritizing innovation, communication, and an exceptional patient experience. We believe great care happens when humans and technology work together. AI, automation, and data are foundational tools we use to remove friction, reduce burnout, and support better clinical decision-making — never to replace clinical judgment. The Opportunity We are seeking a Primary Care and Sports Medicine Physician (MD or DO) to serve as a cornerstone clinical provider within our integrated care model. This is a high-growth role inside a rapidly expanding healthcare ecosystem — one with a clear pathway to build a panel, shape a sports medicine and MSK service line, and grow into clinical leadership as the organization scales. This role is ideal for a physician who values excellence, teamwork, and practicing at the top of their training. Candidates with osteopathic manipulative treatment (OMT) skills and a sports medicine orientation are especially encouraged to apply. What You'll Do Clinical Care Provide comprehensive primary care for an adult panel, emphasizing preventive medicine, chronic disease management, and whole-person wellness. Diagnose, treat, and manage acute and chronic musculoskeletal and sports-related conditions — injury evaluation, return-to-play decisions, and performance optimization. Order, interpret, and act on diagnostic testing and imaging. Perform in-office procedures within scope (e.g., joint injections, point-of-care diagnostics); OMT is a strong plus for DO candidates. Integrated, Multispecialty Collaboration Collaborate directly with our chiropractic, physical therapy, pain and spine, regenerative medicine, podiatry, and nursing teams on coordinated, root-cause treatment plans. Partner with our Athletic Recovery Center and sports medicine service line on athlete care, recovery protocols, and performance programming. Contribute to VIP Executive Physical and wellness optimization programs. Clinical Excellence & Operations Maintain accurate, timely, compliant documentation, using AI-assisted tools responsibly with appropriate review and validation. Follow clinical protocols and regulatory standards; contribute ideas to improve workflows, efficiency, and patient outcomes. How We Work AI and automation are embedded into daily clinical operations, not bolted on. They support documentation, patient communication, and efficiency so your time is protected for patient care and thoughtful decision-making. Systems are followed, refined, and improved — not worked around. Clinical judgment always comes first; technology exists to support it. Qualifications Required MD or DO degree from an accredited institution. Board certified or board eligible in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or a primary care specialty. Active, unrestricted New Jersey medical license (or eligibility to obtain prior to start). Current DEA registration and NJ CDS (or eligibility). Strong musculoskeletal exam and procedural skills; excellent communication and patient-engagement abilities. Preferred Sports medicine fellowship or
CAQ. OMT
proficiency (DO candidates). Experience in multispecialty or integrated care settings. This Role Is a Fit If You… Value collaboration without sacrificing autonomy and enjoy practicing at the top of your training. Want to build something — a panel, a service line, a sports medicine program — inside a growing ecosystem. Are curious, adaptable, and see technology as a clinical support tool. Care deeply about outcomes, efficiency, and patient trust. It's not a fit if you prefer siloed care, resist standardized workflows or new technology, or expect clinical systems to remain static. Why Madison Medical A true integrated, multidisciplinary ecosystem with immediate access to specialty colleagues.
Major growth opportunity:
build your MSK and sports medicine footprint with a clear pathway to clinical leadership as we expand. Modern facility with advanced diagnostics, an Athletic Recovery Center, and an in-house clinical lab. Deep referral pipeline through school, athletic, and first-responder partnerships across the region. A physician-led organization that invests in clinical excellence and operational support. Compensation & Benefits Performance incentive compensation tied to quality metrics, productivity, and practice growth. Health, dental, and vision insurance; paid time off; retirement plan; CME allowance and licensure/DEA reimbursement. Clear growth trajectory within a rapidly expanding multispecialty practice. Schedule & Hours Full time, Monday-Friday, with rotating Saturday 8:30 AM-1:30 PM shifts as needed. Madison Medical Sports & Wellness is an equal opportunity employer.
