Job Title:

Locum Psychiatrist (3-6 Month Assignment)

Compensation:

$220/hour

Schedule:

8:30 AM•4:30 PM, Monday to Friday Position Overview We are seeking a Board Eligible/Board Certified Psychiatrist for a temporary locum assignment ranging from 3 to 6 months. This role offers a structured weekday schedule and the opportunity to work within a collaborative, multidisciplinary care environment focused on delivering high-quality psychiatric services. Key Responsibilities Evaluate, diagnose, and treat mental health disorders in accordance with established standards of care and patient rights guidelines Lead the development and implementation of individualized treatment and discharge plans in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory, accreditation, and legal standards, including patient rights and clinical protocols Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments, including medical, psychological, and social histories Review and interpret diagnostic and psychological testing; order additional tests as necessary Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medications in alignment with clinical and legal guidelines Provide therapeutic interventions, including individual, group, and milieu therapy Supervise and guide clinical staff involved in patient care Maintain accurate and timely documentation, reports, and case records Participate in case conferences and present clinical findings and treatment plans Provide expert testimony and clinical reports for legal proceedings, including civil commitment hearings and other judicial reviews Perform regular patient rounds and evaluations Qualifications Active New Jersey medical license (required) Board Eligible or Board Certified in Psychiatry (required) Strong clinical, diagnostic, and treatment planning skills Experience working within regulated or structured healthcare environments preferred Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team Excellent documentation and communication skills Additional Requirements Willingness to complete Medicare/Medicaid enrollment for reassignment of benefits Ability to learn and utilize electronic medical record (EMR) systems and other documentation tools Why Consider This Opportunity Competitive hourly rate Predictable weekday schedule (no weekends) Opportunity to gain experience in a structured, team-based clinical setting Convenient location near
