Position Information Recruitment/Posting Title Physician Specialist Per Diem Job Category Staff & Executive - Medical (Clinical) - Physician Department Clinical Research & Occupation Overview With its broad and multidisciplinary faculty expertise, the Environmental and Occupational Health Sciences Institute ( EOHSI ) is an international resource that supports basic and clinical research in environmental health sciences and exposure assessment and fosters associated programs in environmental health education and public policy. Established in 1986, EOHSI's major objectives are to: Advance understanding of the mechanisms by which environmental and occupational chemical exposures impact human health. Identify and measure human environmental and occupational exposures to chemicals. Treat populations adversely affected by chemical exposures. Develop educational tools describing relative risks of chemical exposures. Contribute to public policies related to environmental and occupational chemical risks. Offer training programs for environmental health professionals. The Institute serves as an unbiased source of expertise about environmental problems for communities, employers and governments in all areas of occupational and environmental health, toxicology and risk assessment. EOHSI members are active as advisors to international, national, state and local organizations on public health issues. Posting Summary Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey has opening for a Physician Specialist Per Diem for the Clinical Research and Occupational Medicine Division within the Environmental and Occupational Health Sciences Institute, located in Piscataway, NJ. The primary purpose of the Physician Specialist Per Diem position is to provide specialized clinical care and consultations for patients in the Department. This is an onsite position.
Duties include:
Evaluates and manages patients with complex medical problems. Provides direct clinical care to patients. Develops, implements and evaluates plans of treatment. Utilize the electronic medical record ( EMR ) for patient treatment and documentation. Consults with other attending physicians regarding patient care. May supervise medical personnel. FLSA Nonexempt Grade 99H Salary Details $150.00/hr Minimum Salary 64.100 Mid Range Salary 224.985 Maximum Salary 385.870 Offer Information The final salary offer may be determined by several factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate's qualifications, experience, and expertise, and availability of department or grant funds to support the position.
