N/A We're seeking an OB/GYN physician to provide outpatient clinical coverage in Elko, Nevada. This is a locum tenens opportunity with an ASAP start and ongoing coverage needed. Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance are covered by the agency. Schedule & Coverage Clinic days Monday-Friday, 7:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Coverage periods:

Jun 4-11, 2025; Jun 15-22, 2025; Jun 29-Jul 9, 2025 Reason for coverage: scheduling need Clinical-only coverage (no hospital privileges required and no temporary privileges available) Patient & Clinical Load Average volume: about 20 patients per day Rounding responsibilities: both inpatient and outpatient as needed Expect to see patients in clinic 3-4 days per week Clinical Responsibilities Provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care, including prenatal management Perform routine and complicated deliveries, including decision-making for and performing C-sections Manage low- and high-risk pregnancies, multiple births, breech deliveries, abruptions Perform and interpret OB ultrasounds (Level I/II screening and targeted) Conduct fetal heart rate interpretation (NST/CST/FSE) — preferred Repair 3rd and 4th degree lacerations, low forceps deliveries, and VBACs (preferred) Office and minor gynecologic procedures: IUD placement, cystoscopy, colposcopy, cryosurgery, LEEP, etc.

Operative/major gynecologic procedures:

ectopic management, oophorectomy, cystectomy, extensive lysis of adhesions

Facility & Support EMR:

MEDHOST Support staff: 1 RN, 1 MA, 1 PA/NP, plus 2 office staff

Qualifications Board:

Eligible Must hold an NV license or be eligible for the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC) ABLS certification required Fellowship required Administrative & Documentation Maintain accurate patient records in MEDHOST Collaborate closely with RNs, MAs, PA/NPs, and office staff to ensure high-quality patient care If this schedule and scope align with your experience and availability, we'd love to discuss the role and next steps.
