Outpatient Responsibilities:
Conduct detailed history and physical examinations to diagnose musculoskeletal, neurological, and neuromuscular disorders resulting from injuries. Evaluate the patient's functional status, assessing their mobility, strength, and ability to perform Activities of Daily Living (ADLs). Develop and oversee comprehensive, patient-centered, non-surgical treatment plans aimed at restoring function, reducing pain, and maximizing independence. Prescribe and monitor various rehabilitation modalities, including physical therapy, occupational therapy, and other allied health services. Perform a variety of therapeutic and diagnostic procedures to manage pain and improve function. Perform and interpret Electromyography (EMG) and Nerve Conduction Studies (NCS) to diagnose nerve and muscle disorders such as radiculopathy, peripheral neuropathy, and carpal tunnel syndrome. Coordinate care and collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals. Prescribe necessary assistive devices, orthotics (braces/splints), and mobility aids to enhance the patient's functional independence. Maintain thorough, accurate, and timely electronic medical records (EMR) documenting examination results, diagnoses, treatment plans, procedural notes, and patient outcomes. Provide necessary medical reports and communication for legal, insurance, and worker's compensation requirements related to trauma and injury cases. Educate patients and families on their condition, expected recovery course, self-management techniques, and injury prevention strategies.Qualifications:
