Job Description

Cardiologist Compensation:
$500K-$700K per year
Job Type:
Flexible hours, Monday-Friday, No call. A well-established, physician-led group located in Suffolk County, Long Island, is currently seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Cardiologist to become part of their growing team. This practice has built a stellar reputation for clinical excellence, patient satisfaction, and multidisciplinary collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as a key clinical provider in the delivery of high-quality cardiac care. Conduct comprehensive assessments including history taking, physical examinations, and interpretation of diagnostic tests. Manage both acute and chronic cardiovascular conditions using evidence-based practices. Create and oversee individualized treatment plans that promote long-term heart health. Provide clear communication and education to patients regarding diagnoses, treatment options, and preventive strategies. Maintain thorough and accurate documentation within the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system. Collaborate with referring physicians, specialists, and care teams to ensure seamless patient care. Provide clinical oversight to nurses, technologists, and support staff within the practice. Mentor clinical trainees including students, physician extenders, and interns. Stay compliant with
HIPAA, NYS
DOH, CMS, and relevant payer guidelines. Participate in population health initiatives and support ongoing quality improvement projects. Contribute to the development of a sustainable patient panel aligned with practice growth objectives.
Qualifications:
Medical Degree (MD or DO) with active or eligible board certification in Cardiology. Licensed (or eligible for licensure) in New York State. Strong diagnostic, communication, and interpersonal skills. Team-oriented with a patient-centered approach to care. Familiarity with EMRs and value-based care metrics is a plus. Entrepreneurial mindset with an ability to grow and manage a thriving patient base.
