Location:
Ada, OK 74820 — Locum tenens OB/GYN (Inpatient, Call Only). Coverage ASAP-ongoing. Agency covers travel, lodging, and malpractice. Schedule 24-hour shifts, one shift per week; beeper call with 30-minute response time.
Specific dates to fill:
July 8, 23, 24; August 5; September 2, 3, 30; October 1, 29; November 23-25. Clinical Volume & Case Mix Average daily volume: 2-3 patients. Case mix includes low- and high-risk pregnancy management, deliveries, C-sections, and gynecologic surgeries.
Rounding:
unassigned patients; approximately 2 phone consults per day.
Facility & Support LDRP:
3 rooms; postpartum: 8 rooms (11 beds total).
EMR:
Epic. 24/7 anesthesia; fellowship-trained ED physicians and hospitalists available for backup. Support staff includes 2 PA/NPs. Privileges, Credentialing & Compliance Hospital privileges required; temporary privileges not available.
Credentialing timeline:
typically 30-90 days (as soon as credentialed). Required Procedures & Clinical Competencies Management of low- and high-risk pregnancies. Fetal heart rate interpretation (NST/CST/FSE). OB ultrasound performance and interpretation (Level I screening and Level II targeted). Amniocentesis. Routine and complicated deliveries (vaginal, low forceps, C-section decision-making, C-sections, breech, multiples, abruptions, VBACs), including repair of 3rd/4th degree lacerations. Office/minor gynecology (IUDs, cystoscopy, colposcopy, cryosurgery, LEEP). Surgical gynecology (open and laparoscopic diagnostic/minor procedures—tubal ligation, LOA; operative/major procedures including ectopic management, oophorectomy, cystectomy, extensive LOA). Requirements & Qualifications Board eligible (OB/GYN). Oklahoma medical license or compact/reciprocal license (IMLC accepted). BLS required. Fellowship preferred. Proficiency with Epic and ability to manage unassigned patients and emergency deliveries. Duties & Responsibilities Provide 24-hour OB/GYN call coverage. Manage labor and delivery, newborn rounding for unassigned patients, gynecologic emergencies, and surgical consults. Coordinate care with ED physicians, hospitalists, anesthesia, and mid-level staff.
