Videos Duties Help Review and report test results, coordine referrals, collabore with prive care providers for pient care. Provide follow-up care to pients with complex headache syndromes and general neurological conditions towards the goal of clinical stabilizion. Evalue and coordine multidisciplinary trements of Physical Therapy, Occupional Therapy, Speech Therapy, orthotics and prosthetics for the Neurology pient populion. Provide orders of other trement modalities including Physical Therapy, Occupional Therapy, Therapeutic Recreion, Speech Language, Wound Care, and the fitting of orthotics and prosthetics. Coordine timely participion and case discussion with other members of the Neurology & Rehabilition team to properly assess pients with neurological complaints. Communice test results and care educion to pients with compassion and respect. Conduct thorough research of pient medical records and imaging to prepare for interdisciplinary review. Participe in continued development, improvement and expansion of all aspects of the Neurology program to maximize quality and efficiency of care. Notify and consult with the Primary Care Providers and Home Based Primary Care providers over any pertinent or critical da. Provide in-person pient care, electronic consults, Veterans Video Connect, telephone and any other resources available to coordine care. Provide respectful, pient, compassione explanions for the Veteran on the plan of care, orders, testing, evaluions, consults and follow through with the Veteran in every aspect of the personalized plan. Evalue for prostheses, perform dressing changes, order wound care supplies, liquid nutrition, and all medicions reled to Neurology/Rehabilition cases. Maintain professional working relionships with EEG Lab, EMG/NCS Lab, Rehabilition Services including Power Mobility Clinic, Spine Clinic, SCI Program, Epilepsy Clinic, and other members of the General Neurology team. Refer pients for necessary studies, facilite and order for Amputee Clinic services and Prosthetics. Clinical research opportunities may be available th include outcome da collection, analysis, and possible program development efforts. Administrive duties as directed by the service chief may include quality assurance, peer review, serving on various committees, research options or teaching. Skill to consistently demonstre an eleved level of expertise and autonomy in diagnosing and treing seriously ill, multi-symptomic pients through facility Focused Professional Practice Evaluion (FPPE) and Ongoing Professional Practice Evaluion (OPPE). Ability to present clinical findings and recommendions to approprie management officials. Ability to clinically facilite the delivery of pient care in collaborion with health professionals, health managers, and other health care personnel. Ability to implement and initie clinical changes to established trement protocols based upon new medical literure research findings to enhance pient delivery care for improved pient outcomes. Ability to participe clinically in the development of the PA pient care audit processes involving in-depth review and analysis of medical records.

Physical Requirements:
This position requires potentially long periods of continued walking, standing, and sitting. The position requires the ability to cover clinical nursing services and meet physical demands found in the pient care environment. The incumbent may be exposed to infected pients and contamined merials and may be required to don protective clothing. The incumbent may occasionally be exposed to pients who are combive secondary to delirium, dementia, or psychiric disorders. The incumbent must be a mure, flexible, sensible individual capable of working effectively in stressful situions. able to shift priorities based on pient needs. Must complete annual Employee Health requirements, such as annual TB screening or testing, as a condition of employment Inities Basic Life Support (BLS) in accordance with current BLS standards to include automic defibrillion in life-threening situions.
