Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Primary Care or Specialty Provider, where your expertise will directly impact patient health and well-being across diverse clinical settings. This role offers the opportunity to deliver comprehensive medical care, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and advance innovative treatment approaches. Whether working in the clinic, mobile unit or specialized care units, you will play a vital role in improving health outcomes for a wide range of patient populations. Duties Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical history reviews using advanced EMR (Electronic Medical Record) systems such as Epic or eClinicalWorks. Provide primary care services across specialties such as internal medicine, geriatrics, pediatrics, and behavioral health, ensuring personalized treatment plans tailored to individual needs. Perform diagnostic evaluations utilizing medical imaging, laboratory testing, sonography, and other clinical tools; interpret results accurately to inform treatment decisions. Administer medications and injections, including IV infusions and botulinum toxin treatments, following strict aseptic techniques and HIPAA compliance standards. Manage acute and chronic conditions such as pain management, infectious diseases, substance use disorders, and post-acute care needs within hospital or outpatient settings. Coordinate with specialists for referrals or complex cases involving gastroenterology, cardiology, ophthalmology, or trauma care; participate in case management and discharge planning processes. Engage in telehealth consultations to extend access to care while maintaining high-quality patient interactions; utilize platforms like Athenahealth or Cerner for documentation and scheduling. Skills Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems (such as Tebra, AdvancedMD or eClinicalWorks) for accurate medical documentation and coding (ICD-10/ICD-9). Strong knowledge of physiology and anatomy to perform effective physical exams and diagnostic evaluations. Experience with diverse clinical procedures such as suturing, catheterization, spinal taps, phlebotomy, venipuncture, tube feeding management, and sterile processing techniques. Familiarity with CPT coding for billing purposes; understanding of Workers' Compensation law and utilization review protocols (a plus). Ability to handle complex cases involving acute pain management, hospice & palliative medicine, occupational health issues, or senior/dementia care including Alzheimer's and memory care. Skilled in patient assessment during triage in urgent care or emergency room environments; adept at airway management and ventilator support when necessary. Knowledge of infection control practices and infection prevention measures across inpatient and outpatient settings. Experience working with vulnerable populations such as individuals with developmental disabilities or those requiring assisted living services. Competence in performing sonography or medical imaging procedures; familiarity with laboratory experience for specimen collection/processing. Job Types:
Full-time, Part-time You pick your own schedule and hours. Contract Position - 1099 Expected hours: 20 - 40 per week
Pay:
Percentage based on collections (typically 60/40 split) (negotiable)
Benefits:
As a 1099 contractor, there are no benefits. This has the potential to become a full time employment position after 90 days.

We have a office in Shawnee, and will be implementing smaller offices around the state, set up for convenience and comfort for both the provider and patient, if that is something you are interested in.

$5,000.00 - $20,000.00 per month
