Job Description

Join our team as a locum tenens obstetrics provider at an inpatient and outpatient facility in Hood River, OR. This position offers a dynamic schedule, allowing for coverage of both clinic and call shifts. Ideal candidates will have strong skills in obstetrics and gynecology, with a focus on supporting a range of deliveries and minor surgical procedures. Ongoing Schedule:
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday in the clinic, plus 8 call shifts per month, including one weekend of 24-hour call

Housing and travel options can be discussed for non-local candidates Benefits Weekly direct deposit Malpractice insurance with tail coverage Supportive credentialing assistance Lodging and mileage reimbursement (if applicable) Flexible scheduling Job Responsibilities Provide comprehensive obstetrical and gynecological care Manage an average of 15 patient encounters per shift Perform routine and emergency deliveries, including C-sections and other complicated deliveries Conduct minor office procedures and assist with surgical gynecology as needed Qualifications Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology Active Oregon medical license and DEA BLS and NRP certifications required Capability to obtain both OB and GYN privileges, supported by recent case logs

7:00 AM•7:00
AM Night Call:
5:00 PM•7:00 AM Skills Strong proficiency in low and high-risk pregnancy management Experience with obstetrical ultrasounds and FHR interpretation Competence in performing and interpreting various gynecological procedures and surgeries Ability to manage emergencies such as ectopic pregnancies during call shifts This role requires skillful handling of both routine and complicated deliveries, as well as a collaborative approach to patient care in both clinical and inpatient settings.
