Not Provided We're looking for a board-certified Neonatal Nurse Practitioner to provide inpatient neonatal coverage in Oregon City, OR. This locum tenens role begins July 7, 2026 and continues on an ongoing basis to support departmental scheduling needs. Travel, lodging, and malpractice are covered by the agency.
Schedule and Coverage Variable shifts:
primary shift structure is 7a-7a with part of the day onsite (typically 6-8 hours) and the remainder covered on call.
Weeknight beeper coverage:
partial daytime overlap (1p/3p-7a) with 30-minute response time.
Weekend coverage:
24-hour beeper call.
Call type:
beeper; callback rate is under 25%. Clinical Scope and Patients Inpatient newborn rounding with an average daily volume of 5-8 patients. Neonatal case mix; you'll perform routine assessments and daily rounds for newborns. Key Responsibilities Conduct neonatal assessments and lead daily rounds. Provide resuscitation and emergency interventions as needed, including intubation, umbilical venous catheter (UVC) placement, and needle decompression. Interpret X-rays and other diagnostic imaging. Participate in beeper call coverage and respond within the stated 30-minute window. Document care in Epic and collaborate closely with the interdisciplinary care team. Requirements and Qualifications Board certified (BC) in Neonatology NP. Licensed to practice in Oregon and DEA registration required. Current BLS, NRP, and STABLE certifications. Minimum of 2 years of neonatal experience with case logs. Clean malpractice history required; temporary hospital privileges available and credentialing can be expedited with a clean file. Must not work at another site while scheduled for this assignment.
