Job Description

Emergency Medicine Physician (Locum Tenens) Seaside, OR Are you an experienced Emergency Medicine Physician looking to make a meaningful impact while enjoying the picturesque coast of Seaside, Oregon? Join our dedicated team as a locum provider and play a vital role in delivering quality emergency care during a transitional period. This opportunity offers flexibility, competitive compensation, and the chance to work in a beautiful coastal environment while supporting a small-volume ER through December. What You ll
Do:
Provide inpatient emergency medical care from July through December 2026. Cover both day (7am-7pm) and night shifts (7pm-7am), with a focus on night coverage. Work approximately 7-8 shifts per month, with guaranteed 12-hour shifts. Intubate patients as needed and collaborate closely with the healthcare team. Deliver exceptional patient care in a calm, team-oriented environment.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Active medical license. DEA certification. Board certification (BC or BE within 3 years of residency); ABEM preferred, but FM or IM with extensive EM experience considered. Current CV and proof of certifications. BLS, ACLS, PAL, ATLS, and highly preferred: NRP. Ability to work night shifts and handle intubations confidently. Have Skills:
Previous experience in a small, volume ER setting. Additional certifications or advanced skills in emergency procedures. Flexibility and adaptability in fast-paced environments.
Preferred Education and Experience:
Physicians with residency in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine with strong EM background. Minimum of 2 years of emergency medicine experience preferred.
Other Requirements:
Must be willing to work night shifts, with some days. Credentialing requires current CV, active license, DEA, and relevant certifications. No travel required; this is a local, in-person position.
